A SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CLUSTER RING

in 18ct white gold, set with a sapphire of c.3.50 carats held in a claw setting of yellow gold, surrounded by a ballerina style cluster of marquise cut diamonds, totalling c.2.50 carats, full British hallmarks for London, 1991, UK size Q1/2 / Eu size 58, (gross weight - c.10.0g)

The sapphire has had a verbal assessment stating that it is of natural origin with indications of heat.

The ring is in good condition with no signs of damage, wear or repair. The sapphire is in good condition with no signs of chips. Only very light abrasions to the a couple of the crown facet edges. The stone has a good saturation of colour with bright royal blue flashes. The sapphire has some natural feather inclusions through the middle of the stone with thin film interference visible from some directions under x10 loupe. God overall transparency with a slightly silky appearance. The sapphire is secure in its setting. All claws are present and in good condition. The diamonds are all present. One has a 'natural' to its inside edge. All other are in good condition with no signs of chips or abrasions. Estimated H-J colour and VS/Si clarity. All secure in their settings. The band has some light scratches throughout, commensurate with age.
