The ring is in overall good condition with no signs of damage, heavy wear or repair. The sapphire has been assessed by GCS and has been verbally confirmed to be of Sri Lankan origin with signs of heating. The sapphire has good saturation of colour. There is some natural colour zoning that is only visible down one axis. The stone has natural feathers and some small crystal inclusions throughout, visible under x10 loupe. there are a couple of very small surface-reaching inclusions, one to the top and one to the side of the cabochon. The inclusion to the side of the stone has come away, leaving an open cavity. The bottom of the cabochon has a chip, possibly caused by natural incipient cleavage. Light iridescence visible to surface. Does not affect overall appearance to the stone. The diamonds are all present and in good condition with no signs of chips or abrasions. All secure in their settings. Estimated G-I colour and VS/Si clarity. The gold has no signs of heavy scratches or wear.
