in 9ct gold, ruby cabochon set eyes, engraved to the reverse 'W/O S.G.HOLROYD', secured with a pin clasp, no assay marks, 2.0cm, (gross weight - c.0.9g), awarded to Wireless Operator / Air Gunner Sgt S. G. Holroyd RAF (ex 158 Sqn)

WO 208/3323/2444 Holroyd made it to Switzerland in July 1943, after being shot down over Holland the previous month.

Overall good condition with no signs of damage, heavy wear or repair. The gold has some light scratches commensurate with age but the pin is in good condition and functions well. The rubies are present and in good condition.
