AN ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN SAPPHIRE AND MOTHER OF PEARL DRESS SET

comprising a pair of cufflinks, four buttons and two collar studs in 18ct gold and platinum, of geometric octagonal design, each terminal set with a round cut sapphire to the centre held in milgrained rubover settings over mother of pearl inlay, surrounded by stylised stepped borders, the cufflinks with chain links, all stamped '18CT&PT', terminals 1.3cm, (gross weight - c.18.8g), accompanied by original fitted box and split rings for buttons

The cufflinks are in good condition with no signs of heavy damage, wear or repair. The sapphires are all present and in good condition with no signs of chips or abrasions. The mother of pearl is in overall good condition. There is one deeper scratches to one of the terminals. Approximately 1.5mm in length. Some very light nibbles to the edges of the same terminal. The gold has light scratches to the reverse of the terminals. the chain links are all in good condition with no signs of heavy wear or stretching. The buttons are all in good condition with no signs of damage, heavy wear or repair. The sapphires are all present and in good condition with no signs of chips or abrasions. All secure in their settings. The gold has light scratches to the reverse of the terminals. All loops are in overall good condition. Some are slightly bent away from 90°. The collar studs are in good condition with no signs of damage, heavy wear or repair. The sapphires are both present and in good condition with no signs of chips or abrasions. Both secure in their settings. Signs of light scratches to the gold, commensurate with age and use.


All sapphires have good saturation of colour and good life to them.
