Provenance: The Beardmore Collection, nos. 2139 and 1897.

Note: The Mary Talbot shape derives from the name of the daughter of John Talbot, 16th Earl of Shrewsbury, who commissioned a service on the occasion of his daughter’s marriage.

Damages and repairs throughout. Loss to handle of one Mary Talbot shape, and an old stapled repair. Damage and repair to stem of the other. Both peach examples have cracks apparent.
