A LARGE MULTAN POTTERY VASE AND COVER

late 19th/early 20th century, of baluster form, decorated in blue and turquoise with vignettes of dancing figures, a band of animals around the shoulders, and a background of leafy tendrils, 55cm high

Provenance: By repute a gift from Her Majesty the Queen for the Royal United Kingdom Beneficent Association Sale, at Kensington Town Hall.

This vase has five large areas of fritting and glaze loss, of which two have been crudely coloured in. Please see additional photos. 

There is also a 50p size area of lifting glaze - which looks liable to be knocked off very easily. 

The lid has five chips to underside of rim and some fritting to inner rim.
