Note: Desiderio de Firenze (active 1532-1545) was a close associate to Andrea Riccio (1470-1532), a widely respected Paduan master of the small bronze. His name and aspects of his style indicate Tuscan origins. In 1532 and 1533 he was employed by the city of Padua for the creation of a bronze Voting Urn, which is now held in the Museo Civico in Padua. He was also commissioned, with another Paduan sculptor Tiziano Minio, to cast and model a bronze font cover for the Baptistry of San Marco in Venice.
