TWO MAHOGANY SARCOPHAGUS SHAPED TEA CADDIES

19th century, the larger with glass mixing bowl and two inbuilt wooden canisters with oblong finials, 22cm high x 35.5cm long x 22cm deep, the other with chequered stringing both inside and out, and ivory knobs to the internal wooden compartments, 16cm high x 23cm wide x 13cm deep

The smaller example: In generally good overall condition. The feet are possibly later replacements. The lock/escutcheon has likely been replaced. 

The larger: there have been a umber of restorations. The interior has been refit. The feet are likely later additions. There is a veneer repair across the back. Some areas of dryness and veneer cracking. Small chips/losses to the moulding around the base.
