A FIGURED MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK BY WILLIAM GAMMON OF LONDON AND BIRMINGHAM

early 19th century, the 30cm diameter cream enamelled dial with Roman numerals, the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in arched top case, the hood with three brass finials and inset with brass grilles, the trunk with reeded canted corners and on bracket feet, 211cm high

This clock has wear to the dial which obscures the makers name. There is also some chipping to edges. The right hand grille to hood has been replaced with a plain piece of timber and there is veneer chipping and loss throughout. 

The seat board looks old but not entirely convincing and there is some later reinforcing to inside if cheeks, suggesting the movement and case perhaps may be a marriage.
