19th century, the wooden body painted cream with gilded highlights, the arched caned head and footboard adorned with ribbons and flower garlands, terminating on tapered reeded legs, 87cm high x 193cm long x 71cm wide; together with two caned chairs ensuite, each 82cm high (3)

The duchesse: The is some movement between the joints of the stretchers. The seat is depressed. Some chips and losses throughout and wear to paintwork consistent with age and use .Covers worn and marked. One leg wobbly, another with a split to the top. Canework appears ok. 

The chairs: One of the seats the canework has dropped out. The other has some small holes to the canework to the back and side panels. Both have worn and marked fabric. Some small chips and losses to paintwork and decoration.
