Taught by the great landscape artist John Virtue, Anthony Micallef roots his expressionistic paintings in social commentary, completing his visual language with loose, abstract brushstrokes, recalling the works of the old masters, and Francis Bacon, as well as the teacher of his teacher, the great Frank Auerbach.

'A Small Print Of What I Think Love Looks Like' was made to support a Palestine-based charity, with all proceeds going to support art workshop projects in Beit Sahour, Nablus and Ramallah.
