Provenance: by repute used by Cecil Somerset-Paddon (b. 1875) whilst fighting for Pancho Villa during the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920). Consigned from the Estate of the late John Rollo Somerset-Paddon, formerly of Chalk Newton House, Maiden Newton, Dorset, thence by descent.
