carved with two registers of phoenix, lions and other beasts within an outer scroll border, the stone with a consistent colour with some dark and pale rust inclusions, particularly to the rim, 15.5cm diameter
The stone has a lustrous polish, and with minor fritting to the rim but otherwise in good condition with no obvious repair or restoration.
