This lot has a wood inlay to mimic red tortoishell and the metal tracery has been scored to look more delicate.
There are cracks to the joints and chips to the 'ebonised' wood (not ebony) in various places expecially the top edges and joins.
Some of the metal inlay has come away in places.
It is likely to be late 19th century.
There are no dovetails to the drawers as they appear to be glued.
