early 18th century and later, the herringbone strung top with re-entrant corners over an arrangement of short drawers around a central recess with a cupboard opening to shelves, on tall bracket feet, 75cm high x 88cm wide x 48.5cm deep

This lot is in good country house condition.

There are chips and knocks commensurate with age and use.

The overall chest has bleaching from sunlight but is of good patination.

It is likely the some locks have been replaced.

There is evidence of some shrinkage. 

There are two 'holes' to the back where the knots in the natural wood have fallen out.
