TWO LAPIS LAZULI HINGED TRINKET OR CIGARETTE BOXES

mid-20th century, the first hallmarked London, 1927, with centred quartered circle to the lid and canted corners, 12cm high x 10cm wide x 5.5cm deep, the second with chequered top and raised on rectangular block feet, 17cm high x 9cm wide x 6.5cm deep

Both have minor chips to the stone particularly on the corners.


The smaller box has scuffs to the base.

There is a corner loss to the back near the hinge and to the other with two small losses.

The hinge is secure but the screws are slightly loose and will need tightening.


The larger box has some glue residue to two legs. 

It is in good condition with some tiny chips.

There is a chip to one corner (very tiny) to the oblong 'handle'

It is stable and closes well without issue.
