Note: In the 1890s, Jimmy Griffin was a young paperboy with a torn hat and a broad smile who supposedly sold newspapers on the streets of Jacksonville. An unknown artist painted his portrait and a number of companies adopted the picture of the boy as the motif on some of their novelty merchandise.
