Provenance: by direct family descent and sold together with a letter from Martins Bank Limited, 68 Lombard Street, dated 7th August 1928, addressed to L. Bland Esq containing detailed provenance information.
Note: The Walton & Cotton Club instituted 19th March 1817 at the Freemason's Tavern, London, with Michael Bland being appointed the first Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary.
