Note: At the end of their southern tour, the Daniells returned to Madras for the winter of 1792-93. During this period they made several views of the city, to complement their earlier studies of Calcutta. Six views of Madras were included in the second set of 'Oriental Scenery', numbers VII-XII.

Black Town with some water staining at top edge, sun damage and staining.

South East Fort St George with a mark to sky and slight paper damage to left of palm, sun damage and staining. Frame with damage. 

West Entrance Fort St George and The Assembly Rooms - sun damage and staining, insect ingress.
