the top painted with a neoclassical vignette to the centre and decorated with banding after Tunbridge Ware, the hinged lid opening to a fitted interior with small compartments and a baize lined writing slope, the baize slope lifting to reveal a further recess and a secreted satinwood drawer (one other missing), 19cm high x 37cm wide x 34cm deep
