A FRENCH GILT METAL MANTEL CLOCK

19th/early 20th century, the two train movement striking on a bell, the black dial with gilt Roman numerals, the case surmounted by a winged cupid with bow drawn with further cherubs seated at each side, on a stepped plinth base, 44cm high x 30cm wide, with an ebony stand and glass dome, 57cm high x 40cm wide overall

The glass dome has scratching and is dirty but without cracks.

The gold 'taped' edge is worn in places.

The clock base is scratched and dirty. There are some stains to the chequered interior and 

The ormolu is very dirty and rubbed in places. There is evidence of some regilding particularly around the bottom.

The mechanism seems in tact but we cannot guarantee the working order of the clock.
