A GEORGE III SIMULATED BAMBOO ELBOW CHAIR

circa 1775, of Chinese Chippendale design, the rectangular back and shaped arms with turned links of simulated bamboo in a trellis-work pattern, the solid seat on conforming turned legs with swept corner brackets, 92.5cm high x 67cm wide x 55cm deep

There have been old replacements and restorations. The seat for instance has been replaced and there have been restorations to the arms and back. The chair is structurally sound. Very small evidence of old worm. Some surface marks and scratches as well as areas of dryness. Good overall appearance.
