AN ENGLISH OAK DRESSER

late 18th/early 19th century, the upper section with a moulded cornice and shaped frieze over two shelves with short drawers beneath, the base with three frieze drawers over panelled cupboards and further drawers, on bracket feet, 212.5cm high x 199cm wide x 48cm deep

The upper section separates from the top.

This lot is in good country house condition with age splits, scratching, chips and stains commensurate with age.

The wood has warped in places such as on the shelves, evident by  the uneven slope. The cup hooks are missing.

There is a missing knob to the bank of five on the top half.

The handles may be later.

There is evidence of old worming and one area warrants mention where the top part  'joins the bottom', one corner is missing.

One bracket foot is missing the a section of wood to its side.

There is one shelf inside to each cupboard which has been reduced in size.

There are an additional three loose shelves with this lot, taped together.

Non of the above affects the stability or the aesthetics of the piece.
