A LARGE MEISSEN PORCELAIN EWER EMBLEMATIC OF 'WATER'
circa 1880, after the model by Johann Joachim Kändler (1706-1775), bearing blue crossed swords mark and incised numerals to the base, the spout figured as a conch shell and the handle surmounted by a winged putto, the body with a background of warships at sea and with figures of Neptune, four hippocampi and a mermaid in relief, 64cm high
