Valerie Barden is a figurative artist who paints the contemporary world as she sees it in as real and direct way as possible. Subjects include shop fronts and ladies at Ascot.
Brought up in Buckinghamshire and Sherborne, Dorset, Valerie developed her artistic ability and met her husband, the artist Robert Organ, then moved to Cornwall and brought up four children. In 1973 the family moved to rural East Devon, where Valerie achieved a B.A. Hons in Art History of the Renaissance and Modern Art and Design.
