A CHINESE AMBER SNUFF BOTTLE

Qing Dynasty, carved to one side with an elderly scholar guided by his boy attendant below a gnarled pine tree, the reverse with a lady dressed in long flowing robes and billowing ribbons holding a fan, 7cm high overall

The snuff bottle appears to be well hollowed, it feels light to the touch. There is slight loss of gilding to the rim.  There are three small chips to the raised carving, although they are all to the reverse. The amber has a glow under uv light.
