the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, the brass dial with silvered chapter ring, Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary second dial, date aperture and strike silent dial, with pierced and engraved corner spandrels, the blue ground case decorated throughout in gilt, the case door painted with Watteau-esque figural scenes, with gold ball finials to the hood, 230cm high
