The brooch is in good condition with no signs of damage, heavy wear or repair. The main sapphire has abrasions to the top facet edges and some scratches to the table facet. no signs of chips. The pear cut has only very light abrasions to a few of the facet edges. Generally good saturation of colour and clarity. The marquise cut sapphire measures 10.0x4.3x2.7mm. The pear cut sapphire measures c.4.0x6.6x2.4mm. The diamonds are all present and in good condition with no signs of chips or abrasions. All secure in their settings. The diamonds measure c.1.4mm. Light scratches to the gold and platinum, commensurate with age.
