in 18ct gold, set with two oval cut rubies, alternating with three old mine cut and rose cut diamonds, full British hallmarks for Chester, 1899, size N / 54, (c.3.1g)

Lot 58 - The ring is in good condition with no signs of damage, heavy wear or repair. The rubies are both in good condition with no signs of chips or abrasions. One has a surface-reaching inclusion to one end. Only visible under x10 loupe. One ruby has a deep pinkish red hue. the other has more of a deep 'blood' red hue. Both have good clarity. The rubies measure c.3.0x3.5mm. The diamonds are all present and in good condition with no signs of chips or abrasions. Central stone measures c.2.0mm. Estimated to be H/I colour and Si2 clarity. The gold has light scratches throughout, commensurate with age. No signs of heavy wear.
