the ovoid body embossed with flowers and scrolls, the inside lid bearing maker’s mark possibly for David Field (recorded working c. 1742-1748), 4.5cm long x 3.5cm diameter, suspended from a gilt metal chatelaine of 18th century style, the chatelaine also hung with an etui of Rococo style retaining three fitments, a ‘Mary Gregory’ style cranberry glass scent bottle, a gilt metal banded amber spherical pendant and a filigree gilt metal scissors case
