Provenance: A Dorset bibliophile.

Note: Said to have be ordered by Ptolemy, this volume is the first translation of the Old Testament into Greek, the first five books originally translated in Alexandria by 70 priests from Israel circa 3 B.C., the remaining books translated circa 2 B.C. In this translation the books were named Genesis, Exodus, etc. for the first time.
