A BURMA NO HEAT SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CLUSTER RING

in silver on 18ct gold, set with an oval cut sapphire of c.3.70 carats, surrounded by a cluster of old cut diamonds totalling c.0.70 carats, no assay marks, size P1/2 / 57, (c.3.7g), verbal assessment from GCS stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin with no indications of treatment

The sapphire is in overall good condition with no signs of heavy chips. Some abrasions to the table and crown facet edges and a small scratch to the table facet visible under x10 loupe. The saturation of colour is good with a higher saturation of blue to the middle of the stone. Some orientated rutile silk inclusions visible under x10 loupe. The diamonds are all present and in good condition with no signs of chips or abrasions. Estimated to range from G-I colour and VS-Si clarity. There are two spots to the bottom of the gallery where the lattice has broken. Repairable. The silver has some light wear, commensurate with age. No signs of heavy wear to the gold.
