Note: Ursula Spottiswoode lived and painted her beloved city of Norwich for most of her life, recording its changing landscape and passing seasons. She also favoured views of the North Norfolk countryside and of sailing or harbour scenes. She is probably best classified as an east Anglian Modernist with an avant garde approach to painting utilising many styles and techniques.
She exhibited widely throughout Norfolk and East Anglia alongside other artists form the area such as Lorraine Bewick and David Jones.
