The painting bears some noticeable signs of wear. There is prominent craquelure in specific areas of the painting, especially towards the upper right quadrant, which might be bituminous. The picture surface is generally stable, although there are areas of loss around the potentially bituminous sections. There are also some areas of surface dirt, as well as areas of unevenness to the texture of the picture. The painting would benefit from restoration.
