The collection appears to be in fair condition. The chairs have wear throughout - surface scratches, discolouration, and abrasion. Many of the chairs have some form of loss, parts of the top rails, moulding to the pierced back splats, quatrefoil detailing to the seat rail are missing or damaged throughout the collection. There are some minor flecks of white pigmentation. The caning to one seat has a larger red discoloured area. Some of the caned seats are damaged. Some very minor evidence of historic worm.
The frames appear to be in good structural order; the collection would benefit from a good clean and polish.
