A GEORGE V SILVER CIGAR BOX

by Harold Stabler, London 1934, 'The Gift of The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths', the lid with Goldsmiths crests, the sides decorated with pale blue plique-à-jour enamel, on bracket feet, with sycamore lined interior, 9cm high x 24cm wide x 15cm deep, 68 tr. ozs gross, engraved to the inside of lid 'To Sir Robert Williams Bt., 50 Years a Member of the Court of Assistance. This casket was presented by the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths in appreciation of his long and eminent service 1884 - 1934'

The cigar box appears to be in very good condition. There is discolouration to the silver throughout - in particular to the top, it is commensurate with age and storage within the Bridehead House. There are some light surface wear scratches and marks throughout.
