Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

The bed appears to be in good country house condition.

The painted pediment is worn, with loss of decoration throughout. There is slight deterioration to each corner of the pediment. The fabric appears to be in fair condition; there is discolouration throughout - it would benefit from a clean. There are small dowl holes to the front to posts, around these holes are small indentations from historic use. There is minor loss to the moulding of the feet. Evidence of historic worm. There is surface wear to the backboard. Small splits and surface wear throughout. The valence sheet is significant worn with multiple tears. There is a loss of some gilt metal details.

The front two posts and pediment are the only George III elements; the frame appears to be later.
