The canvas is in fair overall condition, but has some issues. Picture surface is stable. The canvas does not appear to have been relined. There is some craquelure, unevenly spread across the picture surface. The painting also bears a glossy varnish layer. The canvas surface tension is fairly slack. The painting bears two small holes to the lower left, as well as indentations made by the stretcher. There are some other smaller scratches and abrasions to the picture surface. The condition is generally acceptable, but the canvas would greatly benefit from being cleaned and possibly restretchered. Please see additional images available on request.
