The bookshelf appears to be in fair country house condition. There are considerable surface scratches, dents, and discolouration throughout due to usage. Minor losses apparent throughout.
Very minor flecks of white pigmentation are visible. There are historic drilled holes to the right flank and rightmost side of the top of the lower section. Multiple small holes throughout, visible to the front - possibly worm or historic tack marks. A few of the upper most hooks are missing. There is abrading to the edges of many of the screw holes. Small chips and splits are present throughout. sections of moulding appear to be missing. Evidence of historic worm, in particular to the base. The locking mechanism of the right-hand cupboard is missing. There is evidence of a historic repair to the interior of the righthand cupboard. The locking mechanism to the central draws has come away from the central unit, causing some damage to the surrounding area.
The bookshelf appears to be in good structural order retaining its imposing country house look.
Whilst we cannot guarantee the top section comes apart, there are screws between each flank and the breakfront section. We are unable to guarantee that the pediment can be removed
