The painting bears some issues. Picture surface is stable. There is a faded varnish layer to the wooden panel. There is some visible damage and wear to the painting, including a small mark towards the top left centre of the composition, as well as around the edges of the panel, especially towards the top of the panel. There is craquelure throughout, as well as some areas where the grain of the panel shows through. There is some staining and discolouration to the panel (potential smoke damage). There is a long horizontal line towards the centre, indicating a potential join in the wooden panel support. There is another line towards the lower left of the composition, indicating a potential crack. The overall condition is acceptable, but it might benefit from being cleaned and potentially restored. Please see additional images available on request.

Frame: some visible wear to the gilt composite frame, including craquelure throughout and general areas of abrasion and loss around the edges. The frame would also benefit from being cleaned. Please see additional images available on request.
