Both paintings bear notable areas of wear, with scattered (but extensive) areas of loss to both pictures, focused around the main depicted subjects but prevalent in other areas as well. The picture surface is not completely stable, with areas that are flaking away. Both pictures would benefit from restoration. Please see additional images available on request.
