Generally good overall condition. The picture surface is stable, with few discernable signs of loss. However, there is varying (but prominent) craquelure throughout. There is also a glossy varnish layer across the picture surface. The painting has definitely been restored, with some indication of overpainting around the cattle and figures to the centre of the panel. There is also a potentially bituminous area towards the lower left of the picture surface. Please see additional images available on request.
