The painting appears to be a nineteenth-century copy. There are some prominent issues to the picture surface, most notably the long horizontal cracks that run across the top half of the picture surface (the resverse of the board has been strengthened, potentially to counteract this). Furthermore, there are some areas of craquelure to the picture surface. The painting would benefit from being cleaned. Please see additional images available on request.
