Hammer price: £340
Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

The pair in good overall condition. Minor fretting throughout due to age. Some minor scratches and cracks throughout commensurate with age. One candlestick has a chip to the surface enamel around the base of the item. Discolouration present, mostly visible from the underside.

Please note there is rubbing to the gilding and the gilt cross-hatching on the candlesticks is different in tone. One being so much brighter and the other more subdued.

The candlestick with the chip to the enamel around the base has a different securing bolt to the other and is not static in its positioning and can be moved only when wiggled but this does not affect the stability nor the aesthetics.. There appears to be an area of restoration to one section where the white has possibly been overpainted.
