Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

This lot is in good overall condition commensurate with use.

The silk has faded and is discoloured and bleached on both.

Both have possible signs of shrinkage as they do not fit within the frames.

The Shakespear oval has a tear to left hand corner. The fabric is uneven and not lying flat. The frame has cracks to the gesso and rubs throughout.

The shepherdess has fading and staining to the silk backdrop in particular.

The arm holding the crook may have been repaired or is not as well executed as the other limb.

The frame has a split to the bottom which runs through to the other side held together by the paper at the back.

The necessaire is stained and bleached with two black marks to lower third.
