THREE HAND-PAINTED PAPER FANS IN 18TH CENTURY ROCOCO STYLE

19th century, in cases, the first hand-painted with courtiers at their leisurely pursuits flanked by panels of scrolling gilt leaves to the side, the mother-of-pearl guards pierced and carved with conforming figures amongst classical urns and cherubs, the guard 28cm long (the case 39.5cm high x 71cm long x 6cm deep), the second edged in lace, with central panel of a courting couple with chaperone, flanked by laurel leaves and cornucopiae, highlighted in sequins throughout,

the guards of carved and pierced mother-of-pearl highlighted with gold foliate scrolls, the guard 33cm, (the case 44cm high x 74cm long x 5cm high), the third painted with a 'proposal scene' with carved and pierced mother-of-pearl sticks (3)

Two framed and glazed, one framed. 

Overall they appear to be in largely ok condition, without major losses or damages. There is some light wear throughout, including small marks and foxing, and slight fraying. Small cracks to the mother of pearl.
