On closer inspection, this barometer appears to be a good quality reproduction - the veneer and construction appear 20th Century, the silvered dial is too fresh and the screws all appear machine made.
The tube is in good condition and filled with mercury.
Whilst we have not checked the barometer over a period of time, the weather at time of writing is overcast and the dial indicates change.
