The marble top is in good condition with natural flaws inherent to the stone. The top still has polish and no noticeable chips to the shaped edges.
The wooden superstructure will need securing to a wall and has holes for screws to the back.
The back strut and a support timber are later editions but not visible once the marble is placed on top.
The joints have parted with shrinkage but the console is stable and fit for purpose.
There are chips throughout such as one to a scallop shell and to some of the acanthus leaves.
Old repairs appear to be present to the cartouche on the apron and to the large scallop shell at the bottom.
