This lot is in good overall condition commensurate with age and use.
There are chips to paintwork throughout, especially to the gilding.
There are shallow long splits throughout (including to the knib, the barrel and to the upper section near the clip) but they do not affect the stability of the piece which could still be suspended. None of them run all the way through and are probably due to weathering and follow the natural grain of the wood.
Two deeper splits run on the main barrel of the pen and to the area near the clip but they do not run all the way through and the pen is still stable.
