'H.M.S. Orama' was Owned by the Orient Steam Navigation Co. and built in 1924 by Vickers as an ocean liner. She was requisitioned as an auxiliary troop transport for the British Expeditionary Force to Norway in the spring of 1940. The same year in which she sank
'H.M.S. Osterley' was owned by the same company, being built in 1909 by the London and Glasgow Shipbuilding Company for a passenger service between London and Australia via the Suez Canal. She eventually was scrapped in Glasgow in 1930
